I'd leave it at that, but Amazon doesn't like short reviews. The blanket is practically a year old now, and still working perfectly. It's got a knob control that allows for infinite fine-tuning, which means you can set the blanket to *exactly* the excellent climatic characteristic for you. Also, the range of temperatures is nice and wide: from 'barely detectable' to 'surface of the sun,' so there's a setting for everyone. It washes well with minimal pilling, and remains colorfast and soft straight through multiple washings. I ordered Garnet, though the color is closer to a wine red than a enthralling garnet. The wiring in these new blankets is practically undetectable, especially compared with the old fashioned type that felt like sleeping under a chain link fence. Much more comfortable. Also, the make minimizes electricity use by heating in one direction only: down, towards you. Those clever blanket makers figured out that you don't also have to try to heat the entire room by heating both down And up. Up is a waste, unless you have a cat, who will be irritated if you buy a warming blanket that doesn't also warm her spot on the bed. **Update** Two days after writing this review, the blanket died. It lived 10 months. However: The business supplanted the blanket, no questions asked. They were very nice in email, and they naturally sent out a new one. Took a week to get the replacement via Ups, and I didn't have to send in the old one. Hopefully the one that broke was a fluke, and this one will last -- though I worry that the wires, which are wonderfully non-intrusive-feeling, make the item frail by nature. It was the wiring within the blanket itself that failed (I tested the old controller on the new blanket and it works; so it's the connections inside the blanket, most likely at the relationship point).

I have never been one to promote anything, yet here I am promoting this blanket. I was excited to receive it and when I opened the package, I couldn't believe it - where are the wires?! I was amazed, but then I wondered - can it no ifs ands or buts heat up? So many population complain about other blankets not getting hot enough. They often complain that we now have "warming blankets", not meant to "heat" the bed, but just to take the chill off. Well, I can tell you this much - you get into bed and the first 10 seconds you think, "Is this on?" Then, in 15 seconds, you say "hmm, I'm getting warm." Shortly thereafter you say, "A petite toasty - and only on 6!" Finally, the last criticism is, "Ok, turning it down now." I am impressed and I am not an easy man to impress. Frankly, if it only lasts one or two seasons, it will have paid for itself. It is lightweight, super-soft, fluffy (not cheap and thin like others), very warm, near wireless, and best of all, I don't have to pile on further blankets while the night. Oh, and other thing... I have seen some reviewers complain about the two plug-ins for a king (which I have). Not a big deal. No idea what the fuss is about. I ran the wires underneath the mattress and plugged in on whether side of the bed. Worked out great (if you don't have enought outlets, get a 3-way adapter - it's $3! - or an prolongation cord). I don't think you can go wrong with this blanket.

Very nice warming blanket : Soft Heat® Luxury Micro-Fleece Electric Heated Warming Blanket Twin Size-Sage

Well, I truly like this blanket, just found one small issue in my case, I imported the item and where I live the Ac current is 220volts, I truly struggled to find out the watts usage of this goods (in order to get the right Ac converter for it), it's suposed to be on the power supply, but this is not the case, after contacting amazon they provided me with the info to palpate the manufacturer, no luck by phone but after some deep searching of their website I found the info and idea that maybe I'll leave it here in case anyone has this issue in the future:

* The warming pads use 61 watts per side, except for the full size which uses 82 watts

* The warming blankets use 82 watts per side, except for the full size which uses 102 watts

* When the controls and power supplies are in the off-mode, it consumes about 3 watts of electricity, which is lower than most night lamps consume

Small, but works well : Soft Heat Luxury Micro-Fleece Low-Voltage Electric Heated Throw, Sage Green

This works pretty well, it is suppose to have safety features. My only complaint is that the power provide is a large brick, you don't see that in the picture (wonder why), it is not heavy at all, and the operate unit is very large. This can rest on the floor, but I outline it's the year 2011, can't they slim down the power supply??? I were in the market again, I would buy the blanket with a less bulky power provide if they made one.
